Manny Pacquiao will fight this November against Miguel Cotto it was announced by the Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum. The Pacquiao vs. Cotto match will be scheduled on November 14, 2009 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada. For those boxing fans around the world that can’t make it and watch it live on MGM Grand, the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight will be broadcast live through HBO’s pay-per-view. Pacquiao (49-3-2-37 KO) recently acquired the title of the pound for pound king after beating Ricky Hatton on the last May while Cotto (34-1-27 KO) successfully defended his title against Joshua Clottey last June. Pacquiao vs. Cotto match would be a tremendous fight. Cotto’s boxing style is just right for Manny. Both camp of Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto agreed to fight on 145 maximum weight limits. Cotto had announced that he will never agree to face Pacquiao below (the welterweight limit) 147 lbs. Some sources said that Cotto’s earlier pronouncements that he will never agree to a catch weight with Pacquiao is all for show. Cotto just wants to get more money but eventually he’ll agree and settle to a catch weight with Manny. After long weeks of negotiations Cotto finally agreed on 145 lbs catch weight. World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley wants to face Manny Pacquiao also. Mosley said he was willing to take only 40 percent of the purse and would agree to fight at the light-welterweight limit in order to strike a deal with the Filipino star. But Mosley camp is gave up with the deal with Pacquiao camp. Now it’s Pacquiao vs. Cotto, who do you think will win?
