The dream match of every fans wanted to see of who really the king of the ring and the best pound-for-pound fighter today will not going to happen this year. Of course we all wanted to see the fight between Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. to stop all the speculations who’s really the best fighter. Well, as you’ve all know that the anticipated July 18 mega fight between undefeated Mayweather vs. Marquez was postponed because Mayweather suffered an injury on his rib during his training. Of course we all wanted to see a 100 percent Mayweather collide against Marquez so that he will never get an excuse just encase he beat by Marquez, right? Golden Boy Promotions said that Mayweather vs. Marquez match on July 18 fights at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be rescheduled. So, this means that there is no chance for Mayweather or Pacquiao to fight each other this year. Now let’s go to Manny Pacquiao side of the story. Pacquiao gave a signal to his promoter Bob Arum to fight against Miguel Cotto who retains his WBO Welterweight belt against Clottey last Saturday. Pacquaio vs. Cotto match is under “negotiation”, but there match will be scheduled on November 14, 2009. If look at the schedule of Pacquiao there’s no Mayweather vs. Pacquiao dream match will not going to happen this year. So I guess boxing fans around the world should wait for another year to come and we will see if this dream match will happen so that we will know who the best pound-for-pound fighter is.
